N.O.R.E. revealed he heard Pusha T raise his voice for the first time over a question he asked Pharrell Williams during his 2020 appearance on Drink Champs.

Despite his uncertainty whether he was even allowed to share the story on TheBootleg Kev Podcast, N.O.R.E. went ahead anyway, chalking it up to being "in the zone right now." The Drink Champs host asked Pharrell to weigh in on Pusha’s feud with Drake, and the legendary producer was unhappy with how everything unfolded, claiming he would have tried as much as he could to prevent Push from taking it as far as he did.

When asked if the feud impacted his relationship with Drake, Pharrell admitted they had since spoken, adding, “I love Drake.”

“We've talked several times. I love Drake," he said. "Even in the middle of all that stuff... he said super nice and kind things to me on the DM and in public... Neither one of them are into problems. They don't like it, like, it's unnecessary. But they're both people who, when they feel like they're being pushed to a limit, they gotta do what they gotta do.”

Following the interview, N.O.R.E. received a call from Pusha T, who was not happy with how the Drink Champs host asked if Pharrell would take a side in their beef.

“Pusha called me, like, ‘How the fuck is our boy doing this? How is he doing that? How does he fucking pick? He says both of us. Drake wouldn’t have picked both of us. Drake would’ve picked him!’” he said.

“And I’m like, ‘Pusha, this is one time I’m shutting the fuck up. I’m gonna let you vent ‘cause I have no’–you know, but it’s real,” he continued.

“I say all that to say that’s how much of a human Pharrell is,” N.O.R.E. concluded.

During the “Quicktime with Slime” segment of his Drink Champs interview, Pharrell was asked to pick between the likes of Jay-Z and Snoop Dogg, Timbaland and Kanye West, Justin Timberlake and Robin Thicke and Missy Elliott and Kelis, and he repeatedly refused to take a side, responding, “Both,” to each one.

The conversation starts at the 49:05 mark in the video up top.
