Young Thug is defending himself after the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office filed a motion to revoke his probation over alleged threatening conduct.

According to court documents viewed by Complex on Wednesday, prosecutors have alleged that Thug has "engaged in conduct that threatens the safety of witnesses and prosecutors, compromises ongoing legal proceedings, and warrants immediate revocation of probation.”

Thug responded to the motion on X, formerly Twitter, writing, "I don’t make treats to people I’m a good person, I would never condone anyone threatening anyone or definitely participate in threatening anyone," he wrote. "I’m all about peace and love."

Earlier this week, the Atlanta rapper posted a photo of Marissa Viverito, an investigative analyst for the Atlanta Police Department, with the caption, “Biggest liar in the DA office.”

The motion alleges Viverito’s home address and her parents’ home address were shared online following Thug’s post. "This post quickly went viral, amassing over 2 million views, with thousands of comments and retweets, many of which included direct threats to Investigator Viverito and her family," the motion reads.

According to the motion, a user on X wrote: “If the hate is really real hen pull up on her mama crib,” accompanied by a photo of her mother’s residence.

“This ongoing manipulation of public perception through social media is intended to obstruct justice, silence witnesses, and threaten those who enforce the law,” the motion reads. It added that "hours later, an additional post emerged threatening the assassination of District Attorney Fani Willis."

Thug's attorney, Brian Steel, responded to the motion in defense of his client. “It is never appropriate to threaten to murder another person," he said, according to WSB-TV. "The prosecution’s motion to revoke Jeffery’s probation should not be well-received and should be swiftly rejected. It is irresponsible to file a motion of this sort when Jeffery has done absolutely nothing to violate any condition of probation or threaten a witness.”

It is unclear what prompted Young Thug, born Jeffrey Williams, to share the post regarding Viverito. However, it's worth noting that she was a witness in the YSL trial, which charged 28 people, including Thug, with conspiring to violate Georgia’s Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act.
