Premiere: Donté Heads To Snowdonia For Reflective Rap Drop “LIFES OCEANS”
“We’re gonna give the people dem the type of quality the scene has been missing,” Donté says of his upcoming project.
Donté, the UK model-turned-rapper who has worked with brands like A-COLD-WALL*, Corteiz and Burberry, is today sharing the picturesque visuals for his new single, “LIFES OCEANS”.
Following on from his well-received debut EP, Just Like You, released in 2024, the East London native returns with “LIFES OCEANS”—his first drop of 2025—which sees him in an introspective mood, utilising a laid-back flow to underpin Rem Dolla’s atmospheric production as he explores themes of grief, growth, and transformation.
Filmed in the breathtaking landscapes of Snowdonia in Wales by ZQ Films, the visuals bring the song’s themes to life with cinematic drone shots (courtesy of STEM STUDIO) and movie-worthy angles of Donté moving through waterfalls and wild terrain. The raw yet natural beauty of the setting echo the track’s tone; expansive, grounded, and deeply reflective.
“‘LIFES OCEANS’ is a glimpse into the quality of work that’s on the way,” Donté tells Complex. “We’re gonna give the people dem the type of quality the scene has been missing. Watch out for my new EP, OBSERVER, which is landing real soon.”
