ON A LEVEL: Youngs Teflon

The South London rapper sits down with Complex UK’s editor-in-chief, Joseph ‘JP’ Patterson, to talk new album ‘Keep The Change’, Dua Lipa, grime, UK rap’s Mount Rushmore, and more…

Welcome to ON A LEVEL, a sitdown interview series brought to you by Complex UK, which sees our EIC, Joseph ‘JP’ Patterson, get real with some of the greatest music talents of now.

ON A LEVEL is back, and Season 2 kicks off with a conversation between JP and one of UK rap’s most beloved lyrical minds, Youngs Teflon. The South LDN-born rapper has just released his new album, Keep The Change, and it’s his first as a signed artist through Atlantic Records UK. In this chat with JP, Youngs Teflon talks about why he chose to sign on the dotted line after almost two decades as an indie artist (with a number of iconic projects under his belt), how his early days as a grime emcee helped sharpen him as a rhymesmith, his personal Mount Rushmore of UK rap, being the biggest Dua Lipa fan walking the planet and much, much more.

Featuring Clavish, Knucks and more, stream Keep The Change in full after the jump.
