50 Cent Says Working on Diddy Netflix Doc Is ‘Difficult’
Alexandria Stapleton is directing the documentary.
50 Cent has revealed working on the Netflix documentary about Diddy and his legal issues is not an easy process with all the new information that has come out regarding the mogul's sex assault and trafficking case.
On Friday, 50 stopped by GMA3: What You Need to Know, and he spoke briefly about his relationship with Diddy while also shedding light on the upcoming Netflix documentary focusing on his rival's sex crimes.
According to the G-Unit founder, the documentary, which is being directed by Alexandria Stapleton and is currently in production, has been a task. Diddy has been hit with more than two dozen civil lawsuits regarding sexual assault, rape, sex trafficking, and more since his arrest and indictment in September.
"It's a difficult project because every day there's new accusations coming out," said 50.
While the Queens native clarified that he doesn't have "beef" with Diddy but rather "competitive energy," he was asked if he ever thought things would end this way for his peer.
"No. Not this bad. Not this much stuff. I don't think anyone could have anticipated as many accusations that took place," he added.
50 spoke about his competitive rivalry with Diddy during a visit to Cam'ron's Talk With Flee earlier this week, where he explained that the "beef" with the Bad Boy Records founder was because they were competing against each other in the spirits industry. Diddy had a deal as the face of Ciroc, while 50 worked with the company's competitor EFFEN Vodka.
"My corner is over here your corner is over there I gotta make sure my corner feel cooler," said 50. "He wasn't producing any new music or anything new that would make him cooler right at that point, so it's like I'll just stay active and keep putting it out there."
He added, "The motivation of that is competing for brands, and he was ahead of me cause he had been working on Ciroc and stuff like that and then integrating it into our culture with Coco Loso and different things with different people connected to it, so yeah, that's what that was."
