Cam’ron Says Dame Dash Would Be 'Set for Life' If He Managed His Money Better
Cam didn't like how Dame claimed to feel that he didn't need to work anymore because he had made so many people millionaires.
Cam'ron believes Dame Dash would be in a better financial position if he managed his money properly rather than living a lavish life that was difficult to maintain.
On the latest episode of Talk With Flee, Cam addressed Dame Dash, who recently gave an interview claiming he shouldn't have to work anymore since he helped others make millions of dollars. According to Cam, Dame is foolish and forgets that one must keep working until something huge comes their way and allows them to ride off into the sunset.
"After opportunity, it's about keeping on hustling," said Cam. "I would love to do the things Dame did. Fly private for five years straight buy two mansions in London you got a mansion in London just for your n***as and then a personal mansion in London for something else or renting them or whatever. You just got mansions in London. We not even from London. We just going to fucking London hanging out."
Cam went on to list the items that Dame has bought over the years, such as the largest mansion in Alpine, New Jersey, two $20,000 lofts in Tribeca, installing urinals and museum walls in his home, and more. According to Cam, Dame has to keep working to maintain the expensive lifestyle he's built over the years.
"Bro if you live like that you got to keep hustling you can't do buy all that shit you bought, and I'm being nice," Cam added. "I'm not even naming half of it. You can't buy all that shit and spend all that money and then be like, 'I shouldn't have to work anymore.' I ain't have half the shit I just named. I ain't have no two lofts in SoHo, I ain't have no two mansions in London I ain't fly private every day for six, seven, eight, nine years. I ain't have no damn urinal."
He continued, "This all the shit you was spending your money on. I'm just good at budgeting money, thank God, and thank God I keep coming up with different hustles to do this. Did Dame give me an opportunity to get me back on my feet? Absolutely. I may not be here if it wasn't for Dame but not because of an initial favor he did for me. He signed me to Roc-A-Fella and I took off and I kept doing other things. I'm not eating off the Roc-A-Fella money no more."
Cam closed out his segment on Dame by saying the music executive knows he has to keep hustling to see money coming in. He "spends crazy," but there are instances when a person finds that one big hustle that'll change their life. Until that happens, Dame has to continue working like everyone else.
"Dame would be set for life if he knew how to manage his money," said Cam. "He made more than enough money not to work anymore, but he wanted to keep hustling, and I dig it; it's in him. That's just something he wants to do, but when it's not working out, you can't get mad at other people."
Dame's spending habits have been a focal point several times over the years. In 2006, Dame's former business partner Jay-Z spoke about his financial issues on the Kingdom Come song "Lost One."
"But when friends' business interests is Day Glow / Ain't nothin' left to say though, I guess we forgot what we came fo' / Shoulda stayed in food and beverage / Too much flossin', too much Sam Rothstein," Jay raps of the Roc-A-Fella co-founder.
