Janet Jackson suggested Kamala Harris's ethnicity was Caucasian and Indian, not Black, based on false information regarding the race of her parents.
In an article published by The Guardian, Janet sat down for an interview where she was asked about her thoughts on the 2024 Election and Vice President Kamala Harris. One of the most nonsensical issues with this upcoming presidential race is Harris' ethnicity, as the Trump campaign and the alt-right has levied racist attacks against her claiming she doesn't have any African ancestry.
Janet told the reporter that she "heard" Harris isn't Black and that she's Indian. The reporter confirmed that Harris is Black and Indian, given that her father is from Jamaica and her mother is from India. However, Janet continued explaining what she had been told about Harris's race.
"Her father's white. That's what I was told. I mean, I haven't watched the news in a few days," said Janet. "I was told that they discovered her father was white."
The reporter was stunned by Janet's comments and asked if she thought America was ready for Harris to be President while asking if she agrees that the candidate is black and a "woman of color."
"I don't know," said Janet. "Honestly, I don't want to answer that because I really, truthfully, don't know. I think either way it goes is going to be mayhem...I think there might be mayhem. Either way it goes, but we'll have to see."
The Trump campaign has been right on schedule when it comes to racist attacks, as they've also targeted the Haitian community in Ohio after stating migrants in the area were eating people's pets.
