Meek Mill Says His Mom Learned His Feelings About Late Dad Through Fridayy Collab "Proud of Me"
The rapper is featured on "Proud of Me" on Fridayy's new album.
Meek Mill has revealed his mother had no idea about the feelings he had about his father, which he rapped on "Proud of Me" off Fridayy's new album Some Days I'm Good, Some Days I'm Not.
On Friday, Meek took to his X page to let off a series of tweets reflecting on the new track, where he spoke on how happy he is with the verse and how much he missed his father. He shared several retweets from fans who said they loved the record as well.
"If you grew up without a dad or lost your dad you may cry when you hear it," Meek said in response to someone who shared the song.
He added in another tweet, "Rest in peace to my dad too I miss the shit out you!"
Meek had gotten so personal in the song that he wrote, "My mom didn't even know I felt like this about my dad situation!"
In addition to the new single, Meek and Fridayy unleashed a music video to accompany the track. The video has the duo out and about with their respective crews as they rap about their fathers, who are no longer in their lives.
