Mr. Hotspot has revealed why he hasn't cleared the sample on Lil Yachty and Drake's "SuperSoak."

Earlier this week, Hotspot hopped on TikTok Live to give his side of the sample clearance issue regarding the song. According to Hotspot, he asked the rappers to record a clean version of the song because he wanted the younger generation to embrace the song.

"We recorded them a clean reference and we sent it into them so hopefully they rerecord the clean reference and we come out with the clean goodness gracious altogether," he said. "So I said it's a process but it's it'll be good for both of their brands like that and I'm blessed to work with children so we just gotta make it clean for them."

Hotspot added in the video, "Like we don't need no children getting whooped cause they said this or that you understand and if you look at the backside it's the children who really running these views up so if we make sure both verses clean everybody coming clean everybody gonna benefit for sure its a process but we appreciate you being patient we sent it in today they got it today and now those boys about to turn up."

Hotspot's statement comes after Lil Yachty revealed he intentionally leaked "Supersoak" because he didn't want to clear the sample in relation to his religious beliefs.

This comes after Kai Cenat premiered the song on one of his July streams, with fans believing Drake's verse had a few shots aimed at Soulja Boy.

It didn't take long for Soulja to hop on Instagram Live and warn Drake about allegedly dissing him. According to Soulja, he hoped that Drake was actually paying him homage in which he mentioned his S.O.D. crew.

"Drake, you better keep that shit light, my boy," Soulja Boy said in the video. "This your first and only warning, my boy. I'm telling you some gangster shit. If you doing a shout out, cool. If you any form, shape or way trying to disrespect me or sneak diss, I'm on yo' ass, boy. I'm just telling you this not gon' be the best idea for you, fam."
