Police Investigating T-Hood’s Death as Possible Self-Defense Shooting
Ky Frost, the son of 'Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta stars Kirk and Rasheeda Frost,' is reportedly a suspect in the killing.
The fatal shooting of Atlanta rapper T-Hood is being investigated as a potential case of self-defense.
After authorities identified the suspected shooter as Ky Frost, the son of Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta stars Kirk and Rasheeda Frost, Gwinnett County police confirmed on Tuesday that their ongoing investigation suggests the incident followed a "domestic disturbance" at a residence in unincorporated Snellville, Georgia.
Investigators say a female victim sustained physical injuries during the dispute. The shooter reportedly arrived after the altercation, then "separated himself from the residence before the shooting occurred."
Police noted that the shooter stayed at the scene and has been cooperating with authorities, along with other witnesses.
The investigation remains ongoing as police work to determine whether the shooting was justified under Georgia's self-defense laws. T-Hood, born Tevin Hood, was shot Friday at his Georgia home and later died at a local hospital.
Hood's mother told TMZ that he was the victim and claimed she knew the shooter's identity. According to reports, Hood was dating the Frosts' oldest daughter, Kelsie, and was in a "domestic dispute" with her before the shooting.
On Instagram, Kelsie Frost denied several "conspiracy theories" about Hood and addressed the "weird and sick rumors" that she asked her brothers to deal with her boyfriend.
"I can't sit back and let the narrative being created go on. The love of my life is GONE," she wrote, according to Bossip. "The man I lay with and cuddle every single night… is no longer here. So as I want to ask for respect and privacy, I won't because I will always defend my baby. I don't condone this shit in any way, shape, form or fashion. I am sick to my stomach. I don't wish this on anyone."
