Ye has criticized the Recording Academy for allegedly not offering him tickets to the Grammys.

On Saturday, Feb. 15, the artist formerly known as Kanye West hopped on Twitter with a calm message claiming that the Recording Academy didn't give him any tickets to attend the event and that he had to fight to get access to the red carpet. According to Ye, his track "Carnival" was nominated for Best Rap Song, so he should've been invited, but instead, people got upset with him and his antics without understanding what was allegedly going on.

"How could the Grammies nominate me Then not give me tickets And then people mad when I go off I had to fight for 5 hours and call everyone I knew to get tickets to the Grammies They eventually gave me tickets but only for the red carpet At that point I hadn't started the rampage," Ye tweeted.

The "rampage" that Ye is referring to was the controversial antisemitic tirade he launched on X shortly after the Grammys. Even though he couldn't get into the show, Ye made the best of his moment on the red carpet as his wife Bianca Censori showed up with a black fur coat and revealed she had on a completely see-through dress.

Since that moment at the Grammys, Ye has pissed off several people with his explosive tweets over the last few weeks. Things got to a point where former Def Jam Recordings CEO Lyor Cohen wrote an open letter to Ye denouncing his behavior on social media, which led the rapper to pack him up in his own response.

"You start by apologizing and taking accountability for the massive promotion of black death that you've got paid off of for years," Ye wrote. "Also you too broke to speak to me in the first place. And you know what Irv said to you before he passed and since he not here. I'll say it Suuuuck Myyyy Diiiick."
