Young Thug Feature Removed from Kid Cudi's 'INSANO' Album
Cudi takes Thugger's "RAGER BOYZ" off of 'INSANO' just weeks after being called a "rat" by the Atlanta rapper.
A revised version of Kid Cudi's 2024 album INSANO has quietly appeared on streaming platforms with one notable change: the song "RAGER BOYZ", featuring Young Thug, has been removed. The THUGGERDAILY page on X was arguably the first to spot the change, posting about it on Thursday (July 17). As of press time, the song has disappeared from the Spotify and Apple Music versions of the albums, and the project does not appear to exist on Tidal at all.
INSANO was released in January 2024 on Republic and Wicked Awesome Records, with a star-studded lineup of guests including ASAP Rocky, Lil Wayne, Travis Scott, Pharrell, XXXTentacion, and Thug. On "RAGER BOYZ," Thug used his verse to address his legal battles with the YSL RICO case.
It's unclear what led Cudi to remove the song from the album; however, it comes at a time when his relationship with Thug is in question. The album's Wikipedia page claims that issues between the two artists led to the song's removal.
In May, Thugger called Cudi a "rat" after the latter took the stand in Diddy's sex trafficking and racketeering trial. During the trial, prosecutors alleged that the mogul set Cudi's car on fire and broke into the "Man on the Moon" rapper's house because he was angry about Cudi's brief relationship with Cassie Ventura.
In a swift tweet-and-delete, Thug tweeted, "Dam cudi a rat lol."
Although Cudi didn't respond to Thug, he did have support from Touré, who claimed the Atlanta native needed a better understanding of what a "rat" is.
"He is completely misunderstanding what snitching is, what being a rat is," said Touré. "To be a snitch, which is a huge thing in hip-hop, means we committed a crime together, or at least I am aware of the crime you committed because we are friends, and then I told the state what you did probably because I want to mitigate the problem for me. That's snitching."
