Zillionaire Doe Grabs Label Boss Yo Gotti for 'Back to the South Remix'
The duet appears on Zillionaire's new project 'Mr. 14 Months.'
Zillionaire Doe has found someone to be the Baby to his Lil Wayne, and unsurprisingly it's the very man who signed him to his record deal, Yo Gotti.
Gotti and Zillionaire have joined forces on a new remix of the latter's 2024 track "Back to the South." Both versions of the song feature a beat reminiscent of Lil Wayne and Birdman's 2006 classic "Stuntin' Like My Daddy."
The "...South" remix appears on Zillionaire's brand new project Mr. 14 Months. The release comes after Zillionaire signed to Gotti's label CMG Records at the beginning of this year.
"I really believe in Zillionaire Doe’s talent and hustle," Gotti said at the time. "He’s built organic buzz on his own, but now, we want to build the right team structure around to him to maximize his full potential. With CMG’s foundation and resources, we feel like Doe can elevate to a new level and become a star."
"I’m really excited to work with Gotti and the CMG family," Doe added. "I looked up to him growing up, so it’s a full-circle experience. This is a special opportunity, so I’m just ready to work hard, learn from Gotti, put on for my hometown and become the next biggest artist out of Dallas."
Mr. 14 Months has, appropriately, 14 songs. There are only two additional credited features other than Yo Gotti: Atlanta's Lil Dann and Zillionaire Doe's fellow Dallas native Montana 700. The latter is, along with Zillionaire, known to be a face of the "New Dallas" movement, which is described as promoting a lifestyle less about drug use, violence, and beef and more about unity, community, self-motivation, and getting to the money.
