50 Cent Reacts to Reveal of Escort Pics in Diddy's Sex Trafficking Trial: 'This Sh*t Is a Movie'
50 Cent, never one to not speak up, has even more to say about Diddy's trial.
50 Cent, whose unbroken stream of near-constant Instagram updates has taken an expectedly Diddy-centered turn as of late, continued that practice this week in response to the release of photos of individuals allegedly enlisted to take part in so-called “freak-offs.”
The photos in question, which were shared by prosecutors at the top of the second week of testimony in Diddy’s federal sex trafficking and racketeering trial, were met with some predictable commentary from 50.
“Man, imagine what he did too,” he wrote when sharing a screenshot of select photos. “Hahaha I can’t say it SMH LOL.” As is customary, 50 also tagged the official IG pages for his 50 Cent Action FAST channel and his Branson Cognac brand.
As seen above, it didn’t take long for 50 to zero in on a key aspect of the photos, namely the inclusion of Ash Armand. Specifically, 50 included a screenshot of an article from People circa March of this year. In it, it’s noted that Armand is an alum of the male escorts-focused reality series Gigolos. More recently, however, he made headlines for pleading guilty to voluntary manslaughter in connection with the beating death of 29-year-old Herleen Dulai.
“This shit is a movie,” 50 said on IG on Monday. “One of the sex workers caught a body.”
Diddy’s trial, which isn’t being livestreamed, is expected to last about eight weeks. Among those who have already taken the stand is Cassie, whose cross-examination was the subject of a disagreement between the government and Diddy’s legal team. As reported by Shawn Setaro for Complex, Diddy’s attorney Anna Estevao had Cassie read her own texts in court, with an emphasis on those about her and Diddy’s “freak-offs.”
While both prosecutors and Cassie have alleged that these encounters were facilitated through a mix of force and coercion, the aim of the cross-examination, seemingly, was to paint a more complicated picture, namely one designed to present Diddy in a better light.
Diddy has denied the allegations against him in the case. Just before the trial’s kickoff, he formally declined a would-be plea deal. As argued by 50 last week, Diddy “should have took the plea offer.”
