Cardi B has reportedly filed for divorce from Offset.

At least, that's what Page Six is claiming in a new report published on Thursday. According to the tabloid outlet, a rep said Cardi filed for divorce on Wednesday. Cardi is also claimed to be seeking primary custody of their two children together.

A separate report from TMZ states that the divorce comes after a period spent trying to patch up the relationship between the two megastars, though such efforts ultimately failed. Both reports make it clear that infidelity allegedly played no part in the split, which is described as being "amicable." Put another way, it sounds like the power couple has simply grown apart over the years.

Complex has reached out to reps for Cardi and Offset for comment. This story may be updated. As of this writing, neither artist had publicly addressed initial news of the alleged divorce.

This week, Offset addressed infidelity speculation on social media, notably fueling speculation of a different kind (pregnancy) in the process, seemingly inadvertently.

Thursday’s news comes about four years after headlines of the divorce variety last ensnared the couple in 2020. That time, Cardi was quick to tell fans she had "shed not one tear" about the relationship drawing to a close.

"I just got tired of fucking arguing," Cardi, who at that time had been with Offset for four years, said. "I got tired of not seeing things eye to eye. When you feel like it's just not the same anymore, before you actually get cheated on, I'd rather just leave."

Cardi B and Offset were married in 2017, though that didn’t become common knowledge until the following year. In December 2023, Cardi revealed that she had been "single for a minute now" but hadn't wanted to publicly discuss the matter.

Despite the news of divorce, the Bronx native is also working on her highly anticipated sophomore album. According to TMZ, she is 75 percent done with the album and has several high-profile guest features showing up on the project.
