Diddy Allegations: Anonymous Accuser Gives First On-Camera Interview
"He was acting like it was nothing," the accuser said of the alleged assault.
A Diddy accuser who alleges the Bad Boy Records founder sexually assaulted him during a party in the Hamptons in 2007 has given his first on-camera interview.
The man, whose face was obscured and voice altered, spoke with CNN correspondent Elizabeth Wagmeister about the allegations in his civil complaint, news of which first broke amid a wave of legal action against Diddy earlier this year. Through legal reps, Diddy has repeatedly denied such allegations. In his pending trafficking and racketeering case, which is separate from the various lawsuits against him, Diddy has pleaded not guilty.
This John Doe says he was employed by a security firm to work at one of Diddy’s events, with the man describing Diddy as initially being “incredibly friendly, very gracious.” This allegedly changed, however, after Doe was allegedly given two drinks by Diddy personally. These drinks, Doe has alleged, were laced.
“The first drink started to have some effect on me and I just thought, wow, these are really strong drinks,” Doe told CNN. “It wasn’t until the second drink and it was already too late that I realized something was wrong with the drinks. Sadly, Sean Combs was waiting in the wings. He was watching from some sort of vantage point and once I was in a helpless position and he was sure that he was in a position of power, then he took advantage of the situation.”
Describing the alleged assault itself, Doe said, “I was screaming. I was telling him to stop. It was incredibly painful. He was acting like it was nothing. He seemed to be disconnected from it but it was abusive beyond belief.”
As pointed out in the CNN piece, which also sees Doe accusing an unnamed “high-profile individual” of having witnessed the alleged assault,“inconsistencies” were noticed when comparing the accuser’s on-camera interview and the allegations detailed in the initial complaint. For example, it’s said that the year of the alleged assault was listed as 2006 instead of 2007. Legal reps for the accuser have since amended the complaint, with a passage in Tuesday night’s CNN report adding that such inconsistencies were due to what the publication characterized as a “rush to file.”
This accuser is among those connected to Texas-based attorney Tony Buzbee, whose name has been in headlines this week in connection with a separate suit in which both Diddy and Jay-Z are named. Jay has vehemently denied the claims against him in that suit, calling Buzbee a “fraud” in a statement issued through Roc Nation’s X account over the weekend.
In a statement shared back in October, reps said that Diddy’s legal team had “full confidence” in the court system.
“The press conference and 1-800 number that preceded today’s barrage of filings were clear attempts to garner publicity,” reps said at the time. “Mr. Combs and his legal team have full confidence in the facts, their legal defenses, and the integrity of the judicial process. In court, the truth will prevail: that Mr. Combs has never sexually assaulted anyone—adult or minor, man or woman.”
When reached for comment on Wednesday by Complex, reps for Diddy zeroed in on the aforementioned inconsistencies between the CNN-interviewed Doe's initial complaint and his latest remarks.
“After Buzbee was exposed this week for pressuring clients to bring bogus cases against Mr. Combs, and after public records showed that — contrary to his allegations — there was no White Party in the Hamptons in 2006, Buzbee amended this complaint to walk back the allegations and now claim a different day and wholly different year,” Diddy's reps told Complex.
