Jay-Z's 40/40 Club to Be Recreated for Fanatics Fest in New York City
News of the reimagined lounge experience comes ahead of next year's opening of a new permanent location for the iconic club.
Jay-Z’s iconic 40/40 Club is being reimagined as part of next month’s Fanatics Fest NYC.
The recreation is billed in press notes as keeping in mind "the essence of the club’s signature blend of sports, luxury, and entertainment" while incorporating that unique identity into an exclusive lounge experience. The space will boast everything from framed jerseys to stadium seating, not to mention a selection of small bites and premium drink options.
As for who, exactly, will be roaming the halls of the reimagined 40/40 Club, the space is expected to take an invite-only approach. Among those who stand to make the cut are noteworthy athletes, celebrities, and Fanatics Sportsbook VIP customers.
Starting Aug. 16 and running through Aug. 18 at the Javits Center, Fanatics Fest NYC is an immersion-minded gathering of sports fans and legends of their respective fields. On the lineup for 2024 are Tom Brady, Kevin Durant, Derek Jeter, Carmelo Anthony, Mike Tyson, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Spike Lee, Allen Iverson, Sabrina Ionescu, Travis Scott, and more.
The actual 40/40 Club, meanwhile, is slated to be reopening at a new location in the New York area next year. Jay, Juan Perez, and Desiree Perez founded the original 40/40 back in 2003. Last year, the flagship was closed.
"We are currently closed but will reopen at a new location in 2025," reads a message on the club's official site as of this writing.
