The artist formerly known as Kanye West showed up at Diddy's ongoing federal sex trafficking and racketeering trial on Friday.

Thursday, reports posited that Ye was in touch with Diddy's family about potentially making an appearance to show support for the Bad Boy Records founder. Amid the allegations against Diddy, Ye has repeatedly expressed support for the mogul, both in song and through a Sean John x Yeezy drop.

In an X update shared in February, Ye tagged current POTUS and failed steak salesman Donald Trump when calling for Diddy’s freedom. Diddy, whose New York trial is expected to last eight weeks, has been behind bars since September of last year.

“Please free my brother Puff,” Ye wrote in February, the same month he was spotted wearing a swastika t-shirt in public. Trump, meanwhile, recently told a Fox News reporter he would “look at the facts” of Diddy’s case when asked about a possible pardon.

Per a report from TMZ, Ye’s appearance on Friday was ultimately a brief one. The tabloid said the 24-time Grammy winner’s time at the courthouse lasted about 30 minutes. Upon arrival, footage shared by the publication showed him being greeted by Diddy’s son, Christian Combs.

Complex’s Shawn Setaro has been in attendance throughout Diddy’s trial, which has thus far included testimony from Cassie Ventura and Kid Cudi, among others. Ye spoke out about Cudi's time on the stand, saying on X, “I wish Cudi hadn’t testified against Puff.”

Diddy has denied the allegations against him in the case. After previously turning down a possible plea deal, he could face at least 15 years behind bars if convicted.
