Kid Cudi is celebrating the importance New York City has played in his artistic journey in the self-directed video for his new song “Don’t Worry,” featuring Chip Tha Ripper.

Cinematography in the fittingly NYC-set video comes from Brett Bushell, who has worked extensively with Cudi in recent years. Longtime fans should note that Cudi and Chip Tha Ripper, a.k.a. King Chip, have linked up in the past, including on the RIAA-certified platinum hit “Just What I Am” back in 2012.

“I moved to NY in 2004,” Cudi wrote in a message that appears at the beginning of the new video. “Over the years it became my second home. To the people of NY, this is my love letter to you. Thank you for always making me feel like family. I love you endlessly. Enjoy.”

“Don’t Worry” coincides with the rollout of the fourth issue of Cudi’s Moon Man comic book series. The inaugural issue arrived in January, followed by bimonthly releases leading up to the Sept. 25 drop of issue No. 4. An upcoming fifth issue, meanwhile, is slated for Oct. 16.

Cudi is currently fresh off receiving a wave of new RIAA certifications, including a newly minted diamond status for his breakout single “Day 'n' Nite.”
