Last month, it was reported that Kodak's lawyer, Bradford Cohen, was pushing for a separate drug case involving his client to be dismissed due to it being part of what he called a "coordinated takedown" of the When I Was Dead artist by Broward County. Per TMZ, Cohen said that a sample of pills from the July 2022 arrest had shown them to be Tylenol, not oxycodone.

In fact, Cohen has often been vocal about the coverage surrounding his client, including in response to expressions of concern that have made headlines in recent months. As Cohen explained, Kodak "has all these positive things going on" since being granted a commutation from then-president Donald Trump in 2021.
"People that feign concern yet reach out on social media are not people that are genuine," Cohen said on Instagram in October.
