For his first new album in five years, Mustard is decidedly well-positioned to make a lasting impact.
Out Friday, Faith of a Mustard Seed, the Grammy winner’s fourth studio album and first since 2019’s Perfect Ten, opens with the quick, Kirk Franklin-backed "Show Me the Way and doesn’t let up on the star power for the bulk of its 50-minute runtime.
Lil Yachty, Travis Scott, Young Thug, BlueBucksClan, 42 Dugg, Vince Staples, Schoolboy Q, Quavo, Rob49, Ty Dolla Sign, Charlie Wilson, Masego, Blxst, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, Roddy Ricch, Future, Ella Mai, Kodak Black, and Lil Durk all make appearances across the album’s 14 tracks. We close on the featureless, 10-minute "Pray for Me," which sees the 34-year-old producer and songwriter taking a deeply personal look back at his journey thus far.

The Faith launch comes as Kendrick Lamar's Mustard-assisted "Not Like Us" remains one of the biggest songs in the world. As of this writing, the May-released Drake diss is holding strong at No. 3 on the Hot 100 after a recent return to the top spot. Besting the track at the moment are fellow ubiquitous No. 1 hits from Shaboozey and Post Malone with Morgan Wallen. "Not Like Us" has been on the singles chart for 10 weeks and counting.
