Nems brought Ghostface Killah and more to the Coney Island Amphitheater for Gorillafest this past weekend, resulting in an experience that clearly brought a four-hour jolt of joy to all involved.

The full lineup for Sunday’s event also boasted DJ Drewski, Statik Selektah, Scram Jones, Tony Touch, Bun B, and more. Camaraderie was on full display both backstage and in the crowd, with Nems himself pointing to the festival’s success as a sign of the importance of never giving up.

"No matter how hard they try, the dream will never die," he told fans over the weekend.

The Nems-presented festival is part of the larger 2024 season of the Capital One City Parks Foundation’s SummerStage series, which annually brings a wide variety of free shows to the area. As City Parks Foundation Executive Director Heather Lubov highlighted when announcing the full lineup earlier this year, the SummerStage goal remains to give both "established and rising artists" a chance to participate in a uniquely New York moment.
