UPDATED 5/21, 11:56 a.m. ET: Legal reps for Rod Wave, born Rodarius Green, have responded to news of the artist’s arrest in Georgia this week.

When reached for comment by Complex on Wednesday, Drew Findling and Marissa Goldberg, attorneys for Wave, said “there is no truth” to the allegations against their client.

“There is no truth to these charges,” the Findling Law Firm attorneys told Complex. “Rod Green was a victim of a burglary and committed no crimes. How he was even charged as a result of this situation is incomprehensible. This will absolutely be resolved favorably to Mr. Green.”

A rep for the Milton Police Department, meanwhile, has also shared a statement. In it, the department rep says that officers responded to “a possible domestic disturbance” call at an area residence. Per police, officers “determined the situation involved a previously unreported burglary and the subsequent discharge of a firearm.” Wave, police added, later turned himself in to local authorities. An investigation remains active.

Rod Wave has been released on bond following a Fulton County, Georgia arrest.

As first reported by USA Today, Wave was arrested on Tuesday, May 20 on multiple charges, including aggravated assault and tampering with evidence. The arrest, per initial reports, stems from an incident alleged to have occurred on April 21, although exact circumstances were not immediately clear.

Online arrest records confirm that the charges are in connection with an alleged incident on April 21. As of this writing, local law enforcement agencies do not appear to have elaborated on the nature of this incident, at least not publicly.

When reached for comment by Complex on Wednesday, a rep for the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that Wave had been booked into the agency’s jail on an outstanding warrant.

The full list of charges, according to jail records viewed by Complex, are: aggravated assault, possession of firearm or knife during commission of or attempt to commit certain felonies, pointing or aiming gun or pistol at another, reckless conduct, criminal damage to property - second degree, willful obstruction of law enforcement officers - misdemeanor, tampering with evidence - felony, possession of firearm or knife during commission of or attempt to commit certain felonies, simple assault, reckless conduct, criminal damage to property - second degree, willful obstruction of law enforcement officers - misdemeanor, tampering with evidence - felony, and conspiracy to commit a felony.

Complex has reached out to Rod Wave's reps for comment, as well as to the Milton Police Department. This story may be updated.

In April of last year, Bradford Cohen and Mark Rankin, attorneys for Wave, disputed his arrest that month in Florida. As TMZ reported at the time, the attorneys said that the then-current charge of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon was incorrect, as Wave “is not a convicted felon and has never been a convicted felon.”

Last Lap, Wave’s most recent studio album, arrived last October via Alamo Records. The album, Wave’s sixth and the follow-up to the previous year’s Nostalgia, opened at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart.
