Slim Shady, whose would-be death is at the conceptual core of Eminem’s latest album, gleefully takes credit for his creator’s career in a new Complex interview.

As seen above, the video sees Slim and Em pitted against each other for an often heated, sporadically vulnerable one-on-one. The conversation is well-timed, of course, given that Em’s The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce) is currently the No. 1 album in the country. To hear Slim tell it, he has returned only because his counterpart "got your nuts tucked so tightly between your legs fucking Caitlyn Jenner would be jealous."

In fact, again according to Slim, this entire conversation is actually "an intervention" staged by Dr. Dre, Jimmy Iovine, and Paul Rosenberg. Per Slim, he’s been "sent from the past to save our career." Mr. Mathers, understandably, took issue with this assessment by pointing to his charts longevity over the past 25 years. Naturally, this prompted Slim to step in and lay claim to a quarter of a century’s worth of artistic feats.

"We sold all that shit off my back, bitch. Don’t get it twisted," Slim said in the newly released video, available in full up top. "If it wasn’t for me, you’d still be wearing the same damn Nike Air hat. You’re not fucking Taylor Swift. You had one era that mattered, mine. Everything that people think of when they think of Eminem is fucking yours truly. From the blonde hair to the middle finger to the fucking jokes, all of it, me. And if we’re being honest, the music that you’ve been dropping since I’ve bounced ain’t it, for real. When I heard your last shit, I thought that shit was fucking A.I."

Though Slim and Em ultimately found their way to a point of mutual respect and understanding in the Complex interview, the path to such symbiotic acceptance wasn’t without its speed bumps. At one point, for example, Slim pointed out to Em that, and these are Slim’s exact words, "MGK fucked your mother." Em, to be clear, did not dispute this remark, adding only that "she’s your mother too" and advising Slim to seek professional help.

"You know what? She’s both of our mothers," Slim said in response, ultimately laying the groundwork for a temporary truce, of sorts, that could bode well for the future of Slim shenanigans at large.
