Snoop Dogg Bringing 'All That Snoop Flavor' to Special EA Sports Super Bowl Event
"Don't sleep on it," Snoop urged fans ahead of next month's Super Bowl in New Orleans.
Snoop Dogg says he’s “bringing all that Snoop flavor” to his upcoming DJ SNOOPADELIC gig in New Orleans amid next month's Super Bowl LIX festivities.
EA SPORTS, fittingly, is behind the event in question; in fact, the sports gaming giant actually has two major throwdowns on the agenda, starting with Madden Bowl on Feb. 7 at the Orpheum Theater. Chris Stapleton, Jelly Roll, Shaboozey, Tucker Wetmore, and Trombone Shorty with the New Breed Brass Band. Immediately after, Snoop will be on hand for the EA SPORTS 99 Club After Party, an invite-only affair that’s set to take over the the Double Dealer speakeasy beneath the main venue.
“I’ve been an EA SPORTS and Madden fan since day one, and it’s about time I finally got in the ‘99 Club,’” Snoop told Complex of what he has in store for the evening’s after-hours Snoopadelery. “The ‘99 Club’ Madden Bowl after party in New Orleans is going to be the spot to shut it down Friday night, and you already know I’m bringing all that Snoop flavor - with a vibe that only DJ SNOOPADELIC can create. Don’t sleep on it because you won’t want to miss this one.”
As EA SPORTS enthusiasts are well aware, the evening will also see a new champion of the MCS season being crowned, complete with the option to tune in via Twitch and YouTube at 6:00 p.m. local time on Feb. 7.
For Snoop, his latest SNOOPADELIC gig comes after the release of his Dr. Dre-produced 2024 album Missionary. The duo commemorated the December release with a Complex cover story, available in full here.
As for this year’s Super Bowl Halftime Show honor, Kendrick Lamar has been given the slot, thus capping off a run centered around his hit diss track “Not Like Us.” Upon news of him bagging the coveted headlining slot, Complex pondered what, exactly, a Kendrick Super Bowl show might look like.
