Swae Lee Isn't Sweating the Lack of Grammy Nominations for "Unforgettable"
According to Swae, the Recording Academy will have at least 15 more songs of his to nominate next year.
Swae Lee advised a detractor to start speaking to the nearest wall Monday. This slice of wisdom was delivered after the Rae Sremmurd member expressed his frustrations surrounding this year's Grammy nominations and a collection of prospective winners that failed to include his French Montana collaboration "Unforgettable."
The Recording Academy, Swae said, slept on the hit. Due to the fact that he's got "15 more" on his new album, however, Swae isn't really sweating the lack of nominations.
More importantly, here's that aforementioned future wall-talker:
It's unclear whether Swae's "15 more" comment is referencing Rae Sremmurd's SremmLife 3 or Swae's solo album Swaecation. As of this month, both albums were set for 2018 releases.
With last year's "Unforgettable," Swae Lee and French Montana crafted an undeniable smash. The Jungle Rules single peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 back in August, ultimately bagging 41 weeks on the chart and a 4x multi-platinum certification from the RIAA.
Both Swae and Slim Jxmmi have strong convictions that SremmLife 3, which follows the critical success of 2016's SremmLife 2, will possess some of the most memorable sounds of 2018. Swae even vowed back in December that the album boasts "the hottest music on the fucking planet."
