Tory Lanez Allegedly 'Still Orchestrating' Megan Harassment From Jail
Megan's legal team points to call logs they say are damning, including an alleged mention of a previously sued blogger.
Tory Lanez is “still orchestrating” a campaign to “falsely brand [Megan Thee Stallion] an incompetent liar and alcoholic” from behind bars, Megan’s legal team has alleged.
The accusation, as first detailed by independent reporter Meghann Cuniff, is made in an amended complaint in connection with the previously reported lawsuit against blogger Milagro Elizabeth Cooper, a.k.a. Milagro Gramz or Mobz World. The allegations are also in line with past remarks from Megan’s legal team, which has spoken publicly multiple times about what they say is an ongoing, targeted campaign of harassment aimed at their client.
Key to the latest filing, dated Dec. 10, is the mention of call logs, with Megan’s legal team saying they show that Lanez “repeatedly discussed” the blogger with his father. At one point, the filing alleges, both “confidently asserted that [Megan] would never be able to prove” that Lanez “pays or paid” the blogger for attacking her.
“By consciously coordinating with [Megan’s] convicted assaulter simply to amplify [Lanez’s] disproven and baseless theories to help him seek retribution against [Megan]—the true victim of [Lanez’s] criminal acts—Defendant engaged in extreme and outrageous conduct that has caused, and continues to cause, [Megan] severe emotional distress,” the filing states.
Meghann is set to discuss the filing, and the lawsuit itself, in greater detail on Thursday. Tune in below.
In August 2023, Lanez received a 10-year sentence after previously being found guilty in the 2020 Megan shooting case. When commenting on the sentence, Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascón pointed to a three-year intimidation campaign he says was led by Lanez, arguing that it was intended to “silence [Megan’s] truths from being heard.”
More recently, Complex spoke with Alex Spiro, an attorney for Megan Thee Stallion, who at the time was responding to another round of misinformation in connection with the case. According to Spiro, Lanez is “spinning his wheels” while behind bars, including through the spread of falsehoods by way of “nonsense bloggers.” Spiro’s October conversation with Complex also saw the attorney pointing to imminent legal action, with the ensuing piece’s publication swiftly followed by news of a lawsuit against the blogger in question.
“Misinformation isn’t gonna be an issue in the court of law where he was convicted and remains convicted and incarcerated,” Spiro said at the time. “The fact that he has nonsense bloggers continuing to spin up garbage, we’re going to take legal action.”
