Travis Scott Released With No Charges After Being Arrested in Paris
La Flame was among those in the crowd for Thursday's Team USA basketball win.
Travis Scott has been released from custody after being arrested in Paris early Friday.
A rep told Complex that Scott was released "with no charges" after reportedly getting into an altercation with his own bodyguard.
No injuries were reported in the incident.
A source close to the situation told Complex that Scott was frustrated with his bodyguard for not protecting him from overzealous fans and paparazzi. The source added that the fight between Scott and his bodyguard was only verbal and no violence transpired.
Footage of Scott before the arrest surfaced online showing the rapper asking police for protection as fans and paparazzi swarmed him.
In a statement included in a Friday morning report from NBC News, a Paris prosecutor’s office spokesperson was quoted as saying that “police officers were called to the George V hotel and arrested the rapper nicknamed Travis Scott.”
Thursday, Scott was among the high-profile guests in attendance for the Team USA men’s basketball semifinal against Serbia as part of 2024 Summer Olympics proceedings. Earlier this month, Scott’s Circus Maximus Tour in promotion of last year’s Grammy-nominated Utopia album continued with three back-to-back shows at the MEO Arena in Lisbon, Portugal. The tour picks back up again early next month with stops in Chile, Argentina, Brazil, and more.
