Tyler, The Creator is again looking back on a key moment from Jerrod Carmichael Reality Show, which won a Gotham TV Award last year.

While there remains “no beef or nothing” between the two, Tyler, as seen below in the final minutes of his recent appearance on Ebro in the Morning, recalled feeling “uncomfortable” and “nervous” during his appearance on the series’ first episode. Titled “Emmys,” the episode included a one-on-one conversation between the two spurred by Jerrod revealing his feelings for Tyler. Those feelings were not reciprocated.

“That was one of them times where I’m uncomfortable,” Tyler said this week. “I was in that bitch sweating. I didn’t know what to do.”

According to Tyler, he was told that he and Jerrod “might talk about that thing we talked about,” though he was not aware of what the full extent of their conversation would be.

“I’m like cool, it won’t be crazy,” he said. “I know this n***a. Like, it won’t be uncomfortable. I know bro. And then it was a little heavier than I thought it would be. I didn’t know what the fuck to do.”

Tyler went on to bring up an in-studio incident in which someone pulled a gun on him when he was 15.

“I wasn’t as nervous then as I was in that motherfucking room with them cameras,” he said, laughing.

Both Jerrod and Tyler, whose work together includes the latter’s Igor album and an extensive Flower Boy era one-on-one, have spoken out about the Jerrod Carmichael Reality Show moment in the past. On an episode of Watch What Happens Live last April, Carmichael, whose latest special Don’t Be Gay is out now, said things were indeed “good” between the two.

“He knows I’m crazy, so he’s kinda down,” he said at the time of having Tyler on the series, adding that he was “happy that he did it” and “very thankful.”

That same month, Tyler addressed the moment during his headlining set at Coachella.
