Wiz Khalifa Says He Charges $250,000 for Features, Gets 'Up to' $2 Million for Shows
Wiz points to the global appeal of his catalog as instrumental in these estimates.
Wiz Khalifa, who unfortunately recently revealed he’s fond of the scientifically disproven flat Earth conspiracy theory, is letting fans get a look behind the scenes at the finance-focused aspects of his art. In the same Joe Budden Podcast interview during which he flat-Earthed into headlines, Wiz also spoke about his going rate for features and live performances, resulting in some undeniably impressive figures.
“They’re still the same,” Wiz told Budden and crew when asked about his rates during peak “See You Again” popularity. “250, 250. Oh, you talking about for a show or a verse?”
From there, Wiz clarified that the $250,000 pull for a verse was still his rate today, noting that this figure does not include guaranteed involvement in a track’s music video. As for live performances, this is what Wiz had to say: “Shows honestly go up to, like, 2 Ms.”
Wiz, whose Budden episode is now available on Patreon, went on to emphasize the global appeal he’s managed with his catalog, like so: “I have worldwide songs. I got stuff that people sing in China or Brazil or New Zealand and Thailand and Germany [and] Norway and stuff like Korea, you know what I’m saying?”
Key Wiz features include “Kush Ups“ with Snoop Dogg, “Feelin’ Myself” with will.i.am, “23” with Miley Cyrus, and “Uma Thurman (Boys of Zummer Remix)” with Fall Out Boy. The latter was followed by a remix to Wiz’s “Staying Out All Night,” featuring his 2015 tour partners FOB.
Wiz’s “See You Again” featuring Charlie Puth, meanwhile, has achieved Diamond certification in the years since its initial 2015 release. As of November 2023, per the RIAA, the song had been certified 14-times Platinum.
Last Friday, Wiz rolled out his well-timed new album Kush + Orange Juice 2, featuring Gunna and Max B, among others. As previously reported, Wiz recently told a TMZ paparazzo he “can’t even count” how many joints were smoked during sessions for the album.
