2Pac’s brother, Mopreme Shakur, believes that Sean “Diddy” Combs had something to do with the rapper’s murder in 1996.

Mopreme appeared on Piers Morgan Uncensored and spoke about the rumors that the disgraced music mogul was involved in the drive-by shooting that claimed 2Pac’s life back in 1996.

Host Piers Morgan cited a Los Angeles Time article (later retracted) from 2008 that suggested that Diddy was involved. Morgan read Diddy’s statement to the outlet, in which he denied all of the allegations: “The story is a lie. Neither I nor [The Notorious B.I.G.] had any knowledge of any attack on 2Pac before, during or after it happened.”

After reading the quote, Morgan asked Mopreme about the statement, prompting him to voice his opinion: “My opinion is that I don’t believe it was a hundred percent honest statement,” said Mopreme. Morgan then asked him more directly whether he thought Diddy was lying, to which Mopreme responded, “Quite possibly. It’s kind of looking that way, in my opinion.”

“He called me and I had Thug Life guys with me and we heard what he had to say. He basically said he ain’t have nothing to do with my brother’s murder,” added Mopreme. “I told him the truth has still yet to come out so we’re gonna see. Here we are, 28 years later, it looks like there’s some doubt in that statement.”

Back in July, reports surfaced that 2Pac’s family assembled a new legal team to dive into Diddy-related allegations regarding the rapper’s murder. At that time, resurfaced allegations claimed the music mogul offered up to $1 million for a successful hit on 2Pac, prompting the family to hire prominent lawyers and a team of investigators.

Diddy, however, is currently facing legal issues of his own. He’s already been arrested on sex trafficking and racketeering charges, and prosecutors have revealed a superseding indictment could be on the horizon, meaning that the original indictment he has could potentially be amended with more charges.
