Ariana Grande had fun poking at her singing predecessors and peers when she hosted Saturday Night Live yesterday (Oct. 12).

Grande opened up her brief monologue by explaining how excited she was to star in the movie Wicked (that’s out on Nov. 22). “This year has been truly amazing, I got the chance to play Glinda in the Wicked movie which is awesome because I’m such a theater kid and it’s every theater kid’s dream to play Glinda or Elphaba. Well it’s every theater kid’s dream to lose their virginity but their second dream is of course to be in Wicked,” the singer joked.

After declaring her love for her character in the movie, Grande continued on by explaining that for the show, since she’s back on SNL, she would JUST be hosting — not singing, or anything extra. That message turned out to be in good fun because as she was explaining everything that she wouldn’t do, she did so through singing an original song about that very moment.

The explained that she wouldn’t do any impressions — only to break into Britney Spears’ iconic line “Oh baby, baby” from “...Baby One More Time.” Afterwards, she imitated both Miley Cyrus and Gwen Stefani by crooning “Baby, that ain’t gonna work” and “Because It Hurts” respectively.

Grande kept up the fun by appearing as Celine Dion in a sketch about the UFC. Grande, as Dion, performed a version of Dion’s legendary song “It’s All Coming Back To Me Now” that was focused around the bone-crunching sport, with her changing iconic lines to “breaking bones and knees to the balls” and “When I hit you like that, when you choke me like that.”

Prior to her appearance on SNL, Grande recently appeared on-camera with her Wicked co-star Cynthia Erivo to take a lie detector test. In it, the singer answered whether she’s ever had any plastic surgery or work done.

"You sing 'Popular' in our film. Did you ever get any work done to make yourself feel more popular?" Erivo asked Grande. The singer replied with a gasp. "To my face? To my physical appearance?" Eviro confirmed that was what she meant, which caused Grande to laugh.

"Did you get your nose done?" she asked her, to which Grande confirmed she did not. "Did you get a boob job?" she asked. "No! Can you imagine?" Erivo kept the string of questions going. "Did you get a face lift?" asked Erivo. "No, not yet," said Grande. "I'm open."

The answers all came back truthful according to the test. "This is the best day of my life," she said when told the lie detector confirmed that she wasn’t lying. "Take that, you YouTube people."
