LeBron James, Rick Ross, Sexyy Red, and More React to BMF Founder Big Meech Getting Out of Prison
Demetrius Edward "Big Meech" Flenory Sr. had a projected release date of Jan. 27, 2026.
Demetrius “Big Meech” Flenory Sr. is finally out of prison and celebrities everywhere are happy to see him out.
Big Meech was one of the leaders (along with his brother Terry Lee “Southwest Tee” Flenory) of the “Black Mafia Family” group — an enormous drug trafficking organization that was active between the 1980s and mid-2000s. In the midst of this, they operated a rap label that popularized artists like Jeezy and Bleu Davinci.
In 2008, both Meech and his brother were sentenced to 30 years in prison. His brother was released in 2020 and 50 Cent created a series called BMF about the organization that debuted the following year. In the years since, BMF, Big Meech, and Southwest Tee’s popularity has grown as more people become familiar with their stories and what they’ve done for the culture.
Meech has been released to a halfway home and will officially be free next January — but celebrities everywhere are already rejoicing, taking to social media to share just how excited they are to see him free.
Here are some of the best reactions from celebs so far.
