Cardi B Says Popeyes’ New Wings Taste ‘Like a F*cking Sprite Soda,’ Chain Invites Her to Try Other Flavors

Cardi B isn’t a big fan of Popeyes’ new honey lemon pepper wings — and the popular chicken chain is accepting her feedback with open ears.

During a recent session at a recording studio in New York, the 31-year-old rapper posted a review for Popeyes’ new menu option and gave her honest, Keith Lee-like feedback.

“This lemon pepper flavor with honey, or this sweet taste on it, it’s just not good,” she said on Instagram.

“It tastes like a fucking Sprite soda, I don’t fucking like it,” she continued before giving it a 2 out of 10. Ouch.

If Cardi said it publicly, she’s serious because she’s always been open about how much she loves Popeyes. Whether it’s reviewing a new sauce for her followers or just dancing with a Popeyes bag on her head, she might as well be an official Popeyes spokesperson. If she thinks your new product is bad, chances are it probably is.

Instead of taking offense to her harsh review, a Popeyes representative revealed to TMZ that they can take the (sweet) heat.

“We welcome all wing rankings and reviews as we believe variety is the spice of life and that’s why we have six flavors for wing enthusiasts like Cardi to enjoy,” they said.

Popeyes hasn’t been the only source of Cardi’s annoyance recently.

On July 23, she took to X to defend Vice President Kamala Harris — who’s running as a Democratic nominee for President in this year’s election — against accusations from conservative podcast host Megyn Kelly that she slept “her way into politics and into power.”

“What does Kamala Harris husband or relationships have to do with her credentials? Do y’all hire people based on who they fcking??,” wrote Cardi.

The “WAP” rapper also recently had choice words for Joe Budden who she believes has frequently switched up how he feels about her over the last few years.
