After relentlessly criticizing 50 Cent and his Humor & Harmony weekend in Shreveport, LA, Hurricane Chris says he wants to “sit down” with him to talk about the “misunderstanding.”

In a new interview with KSLA 12, the “A Bay Bay” rapper explained one of the main reasons that he took issue with 50 Cent’s festival — stemming from the rapper saying that he would get rid of Shreveport’s “rachet” reputation.”

“First off, let me start by saying that it’s no hate for 50 Cent,” said Chris. “The Humor & Harmony festival, I’m glad it happened. I’m glad 50 Cent came to Shreveport.”

“But where he went wrong in the beginning when he originally came to Shreveport, the first thing he started to voice was, ‘No more ratchet. This ain’t Ratchet City anymore.’ If you know anything about the Shreveport history, you know we call ourselves the Ratchet City. And when a person says that, they don’t mean that this is a dirty, nasty place,” he continued. The rapper then explained that the name comes from a deceased rapper named Ratchet Life.

Chris then expressed his wish to sit down and discuss the whole situation.

“I just want to sit down with 50 and hopefully have a conversation to let him know that the word that he was downplaying is more than just a word,” he said. “It’s actually our culture and something we have grown to be proud of. And I think the people that 50 is around may not be leading him into the right direction in knowing our culture.”

Chris then revealed that he’d be willing to work with him to clarify everything. But if Fif’s recent response to Hurricane Chris’ concern is any indicator, it’s highly unlikely that they’ll get together. The rapper and media mogul posted a clip on Instagram from Juice to get it at Chris, captioning it, “Hurricane Flex, boy ya sh*t is wack, the fvck you think you @fredobang. Ya sh*t gets no play in my ride. LOL.”

A week ago, Chris ripped into Fif and aired out his grievances with the festival.

“You threw a motherf*cking concert in Louisiana and didn’t book no Louisiana legends, didn’t put no bankroll in any Louisiana legends’ pockets, but you paid the police half a million dollars,” said Chris. “What kind of b*tch *ss sh*t is that?”

The rapper also took issue with the fact that Fif gave Shreveport police $500,000.
