Tory Lanez Says He Misses Having Iggy Azalea ‘Wrapped Around My Body’ on New Album
He pleads for her to call him.
Tory Lanez pines for Iggy Azalea’s affection on the new track “9$IDE x Amethyst” from his new album Peterson.
On the track, Lanez name drops Azalea’s rap name before using her real name and asking for her to get in touch with him.
“It be nights I want to talk to Iggy, but she blocked me,” he sings. “Amethyst, if you ever hear this shit, shawty, call me/You know that I’m always makin’ spicy bitches salty.”
Lanez then apologizes for any wrongs that he’s done to her. “I miss when you wrapped around my body like a tall tee/New me come correct because the old me was the wrong me/Old me cuss you out, the new me disrespect you calmly,” he continues.
On another track, "Guide Me Through the Storm," he raps, “County jail crying real tears to Iggy Azalea / I know you put up with some shit that just wasn’t familiar / I loved your ear and loved your heart though you wasn’t Amelia / They lying, trying to get me fucked, but I wasn’t Cecilia.”
Back in 2023, Azalea wrote a letter to Lanez’ judge prior to his sentencing in which she defended his character. "Daystar Peterson is not the pest you have heard about, he's a gardener. He helps others bloom," she wrote. "Any leniency you may afford him would be something you could be proud of."
"I know him to be someone who's always bursting with happiness," she continued. "In the moments you want to cry. If you call [Daystar], he will find a way to make you laugh."
After her letter leaked to the public, Azalea clarified that she hadn’t talked to him in months, but wished him well. “I don’t ‘support’ anyone,” she wrote. “The whole thing is full of oddities. My letter never mention anything in regard to what happened that night.”
Azalea then clarified that she did, however, support prison reform. “I am not in support of throwing away ANY ones life if we can give reasonable punishments that are rehabilitative instead,” she added.
Elsewhere on the album, Tory reiterated the claims he made in an ethics complaint on the song “Verdict Day.” He rapped that his lawyer “left me like she left Kevin Liles” as well as saying the lawyer was “in bed with my opposition.”
