The Billboard and Twitter music partnership finally arrived this morning. The two companies have joined forces to roll-out the "Billboard Twitter Real-Time Charts." The charts are broken up into two categories, "Trending 140," and "Emerging Artists." Each chart tracks shared music on Twitter in real-time and then ranks it in the order of the most shares.

This is Twitter's latest venture into music after their own Twitter Music service failed. The charts seem to be moving at the intense speed of Twitter, as the top spot of the "Trending 140" chart has already shifted a number of times between different artists.
