'Jeopardy!' Has Officially Killed 'Woke'

If something makes it on Jeopardy!, you know it has officially jumped the shark and has become a historic artifact. Unfortunately, that’s what has happened to “woke.” R.I.P., woke.

Friday night, the long-running game show had a category of answers titled “Stay Woke.” The category, though, didn't have anything to do with the culture’s interpretation of the phrase. Instead, it was about sleep issues. Get it?

But a simple pun doesn’t change the fact that “woke” is now dead.

“Peak 2017” is probably the best way to describe this. At least this isn’t as bad as a contestant mispronouncing 2Pac in December.
