'School of Rock' Co-Stars Caitlin Hale and Angelo Massagli Get Married
Hale and Massagli, who met on the set of 2003 film starring Jack Black, reconnected in 2016.
Two former School of Rock co-stars tied the knot.
Caitlin Hale and Angelo Massagli, who played Marta and Franke in the hit 2003 movie starring Jack Black, recently got married at the Chateau Grande Hotel in East Brunswick, New Jersey, according to People.
Joining them at the ceremony were their former cast members from the film including Rivkah Reyes, Brian Falduto, Joey Gaydos Jr., Robert Tsai, Maryam Hassan, Aleisha Allen, and Cole Hawkins.
Reyes, who played bassist Katie in the movie, shared a TikTok video from the big day set to Stevie Nicks’ “Edge of Seventeen," a nod to the scene in the film where Principal Mullins (Joan Cusack) drunkenly performs the song with Dewey Finn (Jack Black).
“I remember my first audition for School of Rock like it was yesterday,” Massagli told Inside Edition in a 2021 interview. “I get in there and the little blonde girl next to me, she gets called in first and she starts singing show tunes and just blows the roof off the place. It was excellent.
“We have a group chat where all the School of Rock kids, we just hit each other up whenever someone moves somewhere new or is doing something different,” he continued. “So Caitlin is like, ‘Hey, I'm moving down to Florida.’”
From there, Massagli said they met up for lunch, then dinner, and then drinks before making their relationship official in 2016.
“The rest is history,” Hale said.
Both of the former child actors have since moved on from the industry. Hale now works as an OB-GYN ultrasound technologist with Massagli practicing law at a major music company.
