Vitaly Will Remain in the Philippines Pending Charges After Viral ‘Disturbing the Peace’ Stream

The controversial streamer was reportedly apprehended by authorities last week after he streamed himself pranking Filipinos and harassing security guards in the country.

Vitaly Zdorovetskiy, the Russian-American YouTuber who was arrested in the Philippines, will reportedly not be deported and is set to face charges in the country.

The 33-year-old appeared handcuffed at a press conference held on Monday (April 7) by the Department of the Interior and Local Government where secretary Jonvic Remulla announced cases would be filed against the content creator for engaging in disruptive and inappropriate acts, according to the Philippine Star.

Among the cases to be filed against him will reportedly include attempting to kiss and grab a security guard, trying to seize his firearm, taking videos without consent, mocking security guards, and vlogging in Bonifacio Global City without a permit.

Remulla, who deemed Zdorovetskiy as an "undesirable alien,” also referenced harassing an elderly woman and his inappropriate behavior towards a windsurfing instructor in Boracay.

It was also announced Zdorovetskiy’s cameraperson will likely face charges for allegedly enabling him to perform the aforementioned acts.

Despite the circumstances, that didn’t stop the controversial streamer from acting up during the press conference.

Zdorovetskiy was seen snatching the hat of a police officer sitting in front of him and making an “L” with his fingers as the secretary was speaking.

After clips from his “Vitaly DISTURBING THE PEACE in Philippines 😈” Kick stream went viral online, Zdorovetskiy was apprehended by authorities on Wednesday in front of a Pasay City hotel.

His Kick account was seemingly banned from the platform after his arrest.

Vitaly, whose 10 million subscribers on YouTube tune in for his controversial stunts—including his To Catch a Predator-inspired video series, has found himself in handcuffs multiple times in the past.

He was arrested in 2016 for climbing the Hollywood sign in Los Angeles before spending several days in jail for scaling the Pyramids of Giza in early 2020. That year, Zdorovetskiy was charged with aggravated battery for allegedly assaulting a female jogger in Miami.

Zdorovetskiy will be held at the Bureau of Immigration detention facility in Muntinlupa.
