Brian Austin Green Says Marriage to Megan Fox Reached Point Where 'Everything Was Annoying Her'

He said that she got annoyed by simple things such as him eating food.

Brian Austin Green is reflecting on the end of his marriage to Megan Fox, telling Tori Spelling that it reached a point where "everything was annoying her."

On the latest part of Spelling's misSpelling podcast, Green said that it became evident to him his almost ten-year-long marriage to Fox, who he met when she was 18 and he was 30, was in dire shape because she became increasingly irritated by mundane things he would do.

"It annoyed Megan when you chewed because she thought she could hear it," Spelling told Green she remembered him telling her. "I honestly think that the chewing thing was just like, she'd gotten to the point, I think, where things just weren't great," Green responded. "Everything was annoying her. Which happens in relationships. I get it."

Green, now 51, and Fox, now 38, started dating in 2004 and got engaged in 2006. They married in 2010 and welcomed three sons. Fox filed for divorce in 2015, but they got back together the next year. She filed for divorce for a second time in November 2020, months after they announced their separation.

"You kinda get to that point where you're like, 'God, just the way you're shuffling your feet right now, the way you're putting that toast in the toaster' is just driving you crazy. It's all that stupid little stuff, you know," Green continued. "That, to me, is when you have to make the choice of going, okay, we're either gonna go into therapy and we're gonna try and find, like, our connection and figure out what's going on now, or these things are gonna sink us. They’re going to be the death of us. Because they just build up and build up and get worse and worse."

More recently, Green has been in a relationship with dancer Sharna Burgess, whom he started dating in 2020. They announced they were engaged last year. Fox, meanwhile, has been in a highly-publicized relationship with musician Machine Gun Kelly. The status of their relationship remains unclear, however, as she confirmed in March that their engagement was called off.
