With the Halloween season well and truly here, many celebrities got in the spooky spirit with some inventive costumes.

Over the weekend ahead of Oct. 31, stars flocked to parties with some of their costumes referencing their favorite pop culture milestones, horror or not. Ice Spice once again delivered, this time with a tribute to The Fifth Element, Lizzo had some fun with a direct reference to the South Park episode that featured a weight-loss drug named after her, and Selena Gomez did a joint outfit inspired by Alice in Wonderland with her boyfriend Benny Blanco.

Check out a round-up of some of the best 2024 celebrity Halloween costumes below.

Ice Spice

After nailing her recreation of Betty Boop last year, the Bronx rapper dressed up as Milla Jovovich's Leeloo from The Fifth Element this year, complete with a multipass ID card.

Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco

Selena Gomez and boyfriend Benny Blanco went with a cute couples costume idea taken from Alice in Wonderland.

Lizzo

Lizzo directly referenced the South Park episode that featured a weight-loss drug named LizzOzempic, which was prescribed to Cartman.

The singer eventually debuted three more looks, "Hunny Bunny," Ms. Face Card, and Edward SZAhands.

Sophie Turner

Game of Thrones actress Sophie Turner donned a Matrix getup this year, inspired by Carrie-Anne Moss' iconic role as Trinity.

Tyga

Tyga really outdid himself for Halloween 2024. Drawing from the HBO horror anthology series Tales from the Crypt, named after the '50s EC Comics series of the same name, the rapper sported some impressive prosthetics as the show's pun-loving host, the Cryptkeeper. He took another dark turn when he transformed into the eerie Babadook.

Megan Thee Stallion

Megan Thee Stallion has made it no secret that she loves the Halloween season, so she kicked things off early this month by sharing plenty of pictures of her sporting a carved pumpkin on her head. She later brought the intergalactic vibes as Starfire from Teen Titans.

Anne Hathaway

Anne Hathaway went as a scary version of the Statue of Liberty for Halloween this year, sharing the look on Instagram with the caption, "Boo York City."

M. Night Shyamalan

Trap director M. Night Shyamalan hosted a Halloween party in Pennsylvania this year, which he called 'Shyamaween' no less, and he didn't skimp when it came to his costume. The filmmaker dressed up as Heath Ledger's take on the Joker from The Dark Knight when he disguised himself as a nurse to torment Harvey Dent.

Chloe Bailey

Chloe Bailey rocked Jessica Rabbit's red sequined dress, complete with the hip-high slit and purple, elbow-length velvet gloves.

Fat Joe

The Terror Squad rapper injected some humor into his Halloween costume as a larger-than-life bottle of Ozempic.

Kim Kardashian

Kim Kardashian is slithering into spooky season as a sleek albino alligator. In her Instagram caption, she credited drag queen Alexis Stone for the look.

Kerry Washington, Tony Goldwyn, and Scott Foley

The Scandal stars revisited their love-triangle drama as the cast of Challengers. Washington rocked the "I told ya" T-shirt that was featured in the film.

Coi Leray

The "Players" rapper clawed her way into a tribute of Halle Berry's 2004 take on Catwoman with ripped leather pants, a bralette, and iconic cat mask. Halle Berry herself applauded the costume, writing "Killed it!!" on Leray's Instagram post of the look.

Halle Bailey

Halle Bailey leaned into the name mix-ups and channeled Halle Berry's iconic Bond girl from Die Another Day. Bailey sported an orange bikini and leather belt, complete with a knife holder, to reference Berry's Jinx from the film.

Tyla

The Halle Berry tributes didn't stop there. Queen of Popiano Tyla rocked the Oscar-winning actress' prehistoric tiger-print look from 1994's The Flintstones. "Too good," Berry wrote on Tyla's photo of the costume, adding an emoji with heart eyes.

Paris Hilton

Paris Hilton served double nostalgia for Halloween, going both as Britney Spears during her Baby One More Time era and recreating the iconic Pulp Fiction poster as Uma Thurman, straight bangs and all.

Kylie Jenner

Kylie Jenner paid homage to Demi Moore's classic Striptease movie poster, posing cross-legged and nude for a recreation of the 1996 film ad.

Coco Jones

Leave it up to Coco Jones to capture the essence of the Queen of Disco, Donna Summer. Jones perfectly recreated Summer's iconic On the Radio: Greatest Hits Volumes I & II album with a floral dress and blue kitten heels.

Saweetie

Saweetie is embodying chaos this year, bringing Heath Ledger's unforgettable Joker to life with green and greasy hair, messy lipstick, and a tie. The only giveaway that this Joker is really a rapper? Saweetie's manicured nails.

Janelle Monáe

Yes, that's really Janelle Monáe in there portraying a larger-than-life E.T. The singer has come a long way from her ArchAndroid days.

Keke Palmer

Keke Palmer commands the Iron Throne as Cersei Lannister from Game of Thrones, demonstrating that fierce queens can balance power and motherhood. Palmer's 1-year-old son Leo looked regal and adorable as King Joffrey, crown and all.

Doja Cat

Doja Cat brought the fun and funky vibes as the sassy sunflower from "Conker's Bad Fur Day." Considering her fans didn't know the words to Hilary Duff's "Come Clean" at a recent concert, what is the likelihood they'll know this reference to a 2001 Nintendo 64 game?
