After a TikTok user criticized the dynamic of 40-year-old Draya Michele's relationship with Phoenix Suns shooting guard Jalen Green, 23, Draya compared the "ageist" comments to homophobia.

TikTok user @boujeebrownskin shared a video in which they suggested that the couple has a "mother and son" dynamic and reacted to Whistle's Relationship Quiz interview, in which Draya made light of the age gap between her and Green.

"You are aware that he is significantly younger than you, and you think it's a joke," the TikToker said. "It's clear you are leaning into this age gap that y'all have, and I think that's pretty fucking weird."

Draya responded in a comment directly on the video, which later prompted another reaction from @boujeebrownskin.

"This is AGEIST!!" Draya wrote in a comment, which the TikToker highlighted in the video below. "No different from being homophobic—you can't be woke about one thing, babe, and not the other. Discrimination is discrimination. Imagine if somebody told you couldn't love who you wanted to because they felt like it was 'wrong.'"

@Boujeebrownskin called out Draya and said that in a derogatory comment, she suggested that the user makes DoorDash deliveries to make extra money.

"You making the conscious decision to talk to somebody significantly younger than you and me calling it out is not ageism, babe," the user said. "When you were 20, he was 3."

In the interview clip that the TikToker reacted to, Draya chastised Green for constantly forgetting to pack underwear when going on trips. She also claimed that she's a better driver than he is because she's "had a driver's license" his "whole life."
