Kylie Jenner Reflects on Fallout With Jordyn Woods: ‘I Was Heartbroken'
Jenner added that their friendship needed "distance" after their infamous 2019 falling out.
Kylie Jenner and Jordyn Woods might be friends again, but their falling out in 2019 over Tristan Thompson left Jenner "heartbroken."
In a new Elle cover story, Jenner opened up about how she felt when she cut ties with Woods, who allegedly kissed Thompson at a party even though he was in a relationship with Jenner's older half-sister Khloé Kardashian at the time. "I was heartbroken," she said. "We’ve always tried to talk through things, so it’s never been a full cold-turkey cutoff; it was needed distance."
Prior to the friendship breakup, Jenner and Woods were virtually inseparable. "Anytime something happened, good or bad, and I needed to call someone, it would always be her," she continued. "To lose that person felt really lonely, but I had to go through that. I learned so much, gained so much independence, and was there for myself. It helped me grow up a little bit, because we were so attached at the hip. I think that in order for us both to grow, she needed to spread her wings and do what she needed to do as well."
Jener's comments come not long after she and Woods publicly reunited in a viral TikTok wearing matching black outfits alongside influencer Anastasia Karanikolaou. It first seemed as though they were working to mend their friendship last year, when they were spotted at a sushi restaurant together in Los Angeles. Sources close to the two said they'd been quietly hanging out for at least a year before the public outing. Later that year they shared a video of them hanging out on TikTok.

Jenner later told Jennifer Lawrence in a chat for Interview magazine that they had "stayed in touch throughout the years," but it was mostly in private. In an episode of The Kardashians earlier this year, Jenner directly addressed her rekindled friendship in a conversation with her older sister, Khloé.
It was fun," Jenner said about seeing Woods at Paris Fashion Week. "I think we have a lot more healthy distance in the relationship. Now it's like, we talk once a month."
