MrBeast, Adin Ross and xQc Break Record for Most Charity Money Raised During Livestream
The trio broke the previous Guinness World Record during an 18-hour TeamWater charity stream.
MrBeast, Adin Ross and xQc have broken a Guinness World Record with a fundraising stream launched to help provide clean water to millions.
On Thursday (August 14), MrBeast hosted his first Kick stream alongside the two other popular streamers to raise money for his and Mark Rober's Team Water project. The ultimate goal is to raise $40 million throughout August and over 3,000 creators are getting involved. The almost 18-hour Kick stream put a huge dent in that goal by amassing an astonishing $12,000,000.
The three streamers initially planned to raise $5 million, but decided to try and break the Guinness World Record for most money raised for charity during a livestream. The previous record belongs to Adrien Nougaret and Alexandre Dachary's Z Event in October 2021, which raised $11,972,930.19 across multiple days.
Among the major donors during the stream were Kick and Stake co-founders Ed Crave and Bijan Tehrani, adult content creator Sophie Rain, Dana White, Michael Rubin, Gary Vee, Scooter Braun, and Airbnb co-founder Brian Chesky. When they hit the $12 million goal, as seen below, the three celebrated as confetti exploded across the screen.
"How does that rank compared to other people's first Kick stream?" MrBeast asked his collaborators. "Probably number one," replied xQc, while Ross added: "I think you had the best debut."
MrBeast later celebrated the moment with a tweet alongside a picture of him pointing to the money raised during the stream. "Just did my first stream and we raised over $12,000,000 for charity! Most money ever raised in a live stream," he wrote.
During an earlier moment of the stream, things took a comedically awkward turn when Ross placed his hand on MrBeast's shoulder. "What is it with you, and touching me?" MrBeast asked, to which Ross tried to cut through the tension and asked if someone farted.
"You take your hands, and keep 'em away from me," MrBeast said. Ross then asked if he could still touch xQc, with whom he shook hands.
ComplexCon returns to Las Vegas on October 25–26, 2025, with over 300 brands and live performances by Young Thug, YEAT & Friends, Peso Pluma, Central Cee, Ken Carson, and more. Get your tickets now.
