Paris Jackson Announces Split from Fiance Justin Long, Says She Cried 'Breakup Tears'
'Yall are reachin' again,' she said.
Paris Jackson and her fiancé, Justin Long, have ended their engagement.
PEOPLE confirmed the split between the singer-songwriter, 27, and the music producer on Thursday, July 31.
Jackson also shared the news on X on Thursday, July 31, noting that she was crying “breakup tears” in photos published by the Daily Mail earlier in July.
Jackson announced her engagement to Long in December, writing on Instagram that she “couldn’t dream of anyone more perfect” for her.
In the since-deleted post, she added, “Doing life with you these last years has been an indescribable whirlwind. Thank you for letting me be yours. I love you.”
In June, the scion revealed that she was actively planning the wedding.
“The dress is being made, the venue has been picked and the date has been picked by an astrologer, because I’m from L.A.,” she said. “I’m all about the crystals and the astrologer, and all that stuff.”
That same month, Long joined her on the red carpet at the Tribeca Festival for the premiere of her film One Spoon of Chocolate.
Paris, the daughter of Michael Jackson and Debbie Rowe, has previously discussed her views on marriage and family.
In a 2021 episode of Red Table Talk, she said, “I’m not against marriage and if I love someone, sure, but right now my main thing is my spirituality and my music,” adding that having children in the future is a “maybe.”
She also spoke on the Unfiltered: Paris Jackson and Gabriel Glenn Facebook Watch series about her dating history and identity, saying she has “dated more women than men” and, “I say I’m gay because I guess I am… It has nothing to do with what’s in your pants, it’s literally like, what are you like as a person?”
Paris celebrated five years of sobriety in January. She released her debut album, Wilted, in 2020 and has since followed it with EPs and singles.
