MrBeast and TeamSeas have completed their initiative to clean up plastic pollution in the ocean.

The streamer took to X on Tuesday to announce that his team had surpassed their long-term goal of removing 30 million pounds of trash from the ocean.

"As of today all 34,000,000 pounds of trash from TeamSeas has been removed from the ocean and verified by a third party," he wrote.

MrBeast and TeamSeas joined forces for a fundraising campaign back in October 2021, which was established with the intent to raise $30 million to remove said garbage.

This comes after MrBeast's TeamTrees initiative, where he set out to plant 20 million trees by 2020.

As is usually the case with the popular YouTuber, MrBeast achieved his goal and then some. "We took over the internet to plant 20 million trees,” he said at the time. “And now 20 million trees are in the ground! This is more than just hashtag activism.”
