John Cena and Idris Elba Throw Down in Exclusive 'Heads of State' Clip
When a flashy watch draws the wrong kind of attention, two rival world leaders take matters into their own hands. 'Heads of State' premieres on July 2nd on Prime Video.
In Heads of State, diplomacy takes a backseat to mayhem when two world leaders are forced into an uneasy partnership to stop a global conspiracy. U.S. President Will Derringer (John Cena) and UK Prime Minister Sam Clarke (Idris Elba) aren’t exactly known for playing nice—especially with each other—but when a surprise international threat catches their security teams flat-footed, these political heavyweights have to rely on each other to stay alive.
In this exclusive clip from the film, we get a glimpse of how their combustible dynamic plays out in the field. When Derringer’s watch—a flashy gift from none other than Keanu Reeves—catches the eye of a local thug, it quickly escalates into a brawl.
Spoiler: it doesn’t go well for the thug.
Directed with high-octane flair and sharp comedic timing, Heads of State blends globe-trotting espionage with buddy-action energy. Alongside MI6 agent Noel Bisset (Priyanka Chopra Jonas), Clarke and Derringer must work together (barely) to unravel a conspiracy that threatens the democratic world order.
But first? They’ve got to survive each other.
Heads of State premieres July 2nd on Prime Video. Watch the clip below and see what happens when diplomacy goes full-contact.
