Look no further than Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson for proof that the line separating film and television has officially evaporated. Despite being the biggest movie star on the planet, Johnson continues to make his mark on the small screen. His hit HBO series Ballers has already been picked up for a third season, and now Variety has reported that The Rock will produce another TV series, this time a single camera, hour-long comedy about an upstart wrestler trying to make it in the world of, you guessed it, pro wrestling.

The world of pro wrestling is wholly unique, but it's one The Rock knows a little something about, which he elaborated on in a statement issued to Variety:

The “Brian” Johnson speaks of, is veteran WWE head writer Brian Gerwitz, whose tall tales from his days writing for wrestling’s top stars will be the basis for the show moving forward. Will Ferrell’s Gary Sanchez Productions will co-produce the comedy for FOX, ensuring that there are as many laughs as there are body slams.

While it’s unlikely Johnson himself stars, we can expect more than a few cameos from the hardest working man in show business.
