Adin Ross Says He ‘Spent Over $1 Million’ on Lean, Has Since Kicked the Addiciton: ‘F*ck Drugs’
In a stream with N3on, Adin Ross admitted that his Lean addicition was very expensive
Adin Ross had an expensive addiction to lean.
In a stream with N3on, Ross admitted that he’s “spent over a million dollars” on the recreational drug.
“But we don’t buy drugs anymore. Fuck drugs,” Ross added. “Lean is horrible though, bro.”
N3on shockingly asked, “You spent a mil on lean?”
Lean is a drink that often includes codeine linctus, promethazine, paracetamol, and dextromethorphan, mixed with soft drinks. Many artists have admitted to having lean addictions, including Lil Wayne, Gucci Mane, and Future.
Wayne has been hospitalized for seizures, reportedly linked to his addiction. In September 2017, he suffered several seizures in his hotel room in Chicago, where he was found “unconscious.” He was later admitted to a local hospital, where sources said he endured another seizure.
Gucci opened up about his lean addiction in 2017, telling Billboard, “Drying out from drinking lean is probably the worst feeling in the world." He continued, "You’ve been doing something for so long, it’s kind of like food. It’s like starving. It’s indescribable. It’s terrible, terrible pain.”
In 2019, Future also commented on quitting lean, explaining he didn't want to tell his fans he had stopped.
"I didn't want to tell them because I felt like then they was going to be like, 'Oh, his music changed because he ain't drinking lean no more.' Or, 'I can hear it when he changing,'" Pluto told Genius' Rob Markman.
"And people be like 'Damn, why don't you even say it?' But it's hard when your fans are used to you being a certain type of way."
